My little man is turning

5. 

It is so hard to believe how quickly the years have passed by.

I love you my dear son and I pray that you follow in the foot steps of your daddy, my beloved husband. 

A man who loves God with all your heart, who will seek to serve the Lord and others, a husband who will love his wife and a father who will lead his family daily in worship, prayer and devotion unto our Lord.

It is such a joy and privilege to be your mother, to raise you up in the ways of the Lord.  I pray you always know how much you are loved, that you are wonderfully made, and that you follow the path of righteousness.  I pray that when difficult times arise that you will fear no evil for you will know that the Lord is with you. I pray that you place all your hope in the Lord and in no other.  I pray that the gifts you have been blessed with will be used for the Lord's glory.

Micah's 3rd Birthday

Is it already the 18th of July??? NO, Daddy and Micah are just impatient! We took Micah to Toys R Us this past week for him to look around and give us some ideas. He went crazy over the chainsaw and daddy went crazy over the racecar track. Well, Daddy took Micah out to the car and I purchased them. We told Micah we were just looking and would go get his presents closer to his birthday. That afternoon, the next day and Friday all he could talk about was the chainsaw. "Where is my chainsaw?" is all we heard. Daddy gave in Friday and said just give them to him. I insisted no presents unless they are wrapped and he has a cake. I asked Micah if he wanted to go get a cake and he replied, "No, I just want my saw." So mommy went and got a cake by herself. Everyone sang happy birthday and Micah got his birthday two weeks early.

Laurens Birthday The BIG 5

She just took a big bite out of all that hard work..... She loved it! She said, "Thank you mommy, my cake is beautiful." Every year they get to pick the cake they want for their birthday. That is something special I get to do for them, that they get really excited about. Blowing out the candles.

For all those who know me, take a good look because you know you never get to this at my house, except for three times a year (each kids bday).

I am so glad I only do this three times a year. I am tired!!

Daddy's Birthday November 27

Daddy's Bday Cookies

Daddy doesn't care much for cake so we are making his favorite cookies, oatmeal with cranberries and almonds. Lauren and Micah love to be in the kitchen, what great math lessons and they don't even know it.

Micah gives them a 5, he may even eat them all before daddy gets home.
