This weeks assignment is to draw a picture of one of your favorite animals.

Edward Hicks. The Peaceable Kingdom c.a. 1832-1834

Edward Hicks was a self-taught painter and a Quaker minister.  Between the years of 1820-1849, he painted many different versions of the biblical prophesy from Isaiah: "the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid and the calf....and a little child shall lead them."

In his painting he expresses his hope for peace among nature and men.

All artiste are welcome to submit their wondrous work and there is no need to sign up. Email your art in jpg format and send to: each Tuesday and they will be included in Wednesday’s slide show. Don't forget to sign your art work and add your age. Each Wednesday I will post a new art assignment.
