Decimal Street

Well we are switching to Math U See for Hannah. Hoping this will help her with understanding math. Horizons seems to be working well for Lauren, but we will see how Math U See goes and we may just switch her too.

Here is a lapbook I created to go along with the Math U See Decimal Street. The idea came from http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/barrynmissy1972/630530/. Thank you!

So the truck, car and bike I laminated and velcroed to the street. You can use a dry erase marker and wipe away when done. The houses are units, tens, hundreds. Math U See has a story to go along with decimal street. The hundreds house is glued and folds to fit in folder.

Laminated the chart and velcroed, so if I ever need to replace I can. This way all three kids will be able to use this book.

The streets are made out of felt.

  1. This looks like a fun learning process for you Hannah. I know that you will succeed at this with a teacher like your mom. She will never let you fail as long as she can help you. You are so blessed! Keep learning and you will accomplish great things. Love, Grandma Kathy

  2. This is a great idea. We are using Alpha and Beta. How do you use the decimal street? For place value?
